Les transits de puissance sont mieux contrôlés et les tensions mieux régulées, ce qui a permis d’augmenter les marges de stabilité. Cependant l’insertion de ces systèmes sur le réseau électrique n’est pas sans conséquence sur les autres équipements notamment sur les différents systèmes de protection installés aux deux extrémités de la ligne électrique compensée.
