The clinical diagnosis was confirmed by serological cross-adsorption followed by Western blotting. Our report emphasizes the threat of epidemic typhus in the highlands of Algeria.</style></abstract><issue><style face="normal" font="default" size="100%">8</style></issue></record></records></xml>
